Money Money Money

On Friday, March 4th, each of the three winners of the Sheridan Business Startup Challenge presented their progress before the judges panel and presented a budget of specific line items we would like seed funding for.

The weekend was a grueling wait… though I think I have gotten better at waiting than I used to be.

Then on Monday the 7th I received the news.

The judges awarded me nearly $20,000 to cover

-          Product Development,

-          Getting a sample set made,

-          Product photography and the Kickstarter Videography, and

-          Preparing my website for eCommerce

I am so grateful for this seed funding. Without it I wouldn’t be where I am with the business today.

Thank you to IMPACT 307 for facilitating this amazing opportunity for businesses in our area.

My next steps are:

-          Send my patterns and homemade prototypes to my pattern maker

-          Continue spreading the word (Check out my episode on the Go Be Wyo Podcast)

-          Continue searching for the perfect fabric for my jumpsuits

-          Keep learning about what it takes to run a successful Kickstarter campaign, and DO IT!
